Show us your Life ~ Favorite Vacation Spot

So I normally just blog stalk, but today I start being an active member of the blog stalk and actually participate in a blog hopping post. Over at Kelly's Corner, she does this thing every Friday called "show us your life". Its really fun to look at all of the blogs that people post and look into their lives, but this time I decided I would try it as well. This Friday is Your Favorite Vacation Spot. Well, since I would love to have a mental vacation right now, I thought why not post my Hawaii stuff. Hawaii...how different right..I mean who picks Hawaii as their favorite vacation spot..HA?! Taylor and I have been fortunate enough to go twice to Hawaii. Once for our Honeymoon in October of 2003 and again in November of 2006 for his brother, John's wedding.

Both trips we stayed in Honolulu for a few days but on our honeymoon we spent another 5/6 days at Kona Village Resort on the Big Island. I dont have any pics scanned in of that trip, but its okay Ill give you a visual. Me...tan(well as tan as I can be), skinny (wedding dress, remember), much longer hair...Taylor.... tan (as always), wearing glasses because he went snorkeling with contacts in and the contacts were set free. Beautiful background of ocean and lush tropical plants! You get the picture! We had a great time, and would highly recommend staying at Kona Village. Dont do what we did though and think alcoholic beverages are included, it is a real shock if you don't know and then you get the bill (yikes!).

Here are some pictures of the trip in 2006. We stayed in Maui that time and that so far has been my favorite. We hope to go back again in the next couple of years and stay in Kauai.
The next few pics are of the hotel grounds and lobby.

View from our room.
John and Olivia got married on a cliff over looking the ocean,
here is a picture of Taylor and I just below that cliff!

Dinner one night.
Get ready for tomorrows blog, yesterday was a BIG and GREAT day in the Johnston house, but I didn't want to slam it all in this post what with the Hawaii stuff. Enjoy the mood music from this post, Im changing it back tomorrow!!! This is what I do to avoid cleaning. Stay tuned....

  2. Cool pictures. I went to Maui in college, but I hope that my husband and I will be able to go someday too! I like your header. We used a picture similar to that to announce the birth of our son and it said, "our family has grown by two feet." It was too cute!

  3. Thank you for sharing your photos of Maui! Isn't Hawaii just the most relaxing place? We spent our honeymoon in Kauai. It's so beautiful.

  4. @ Kristen...did you see the comment I made on your blog about Jackson and Cassidy?
@ Kama, Thanks! That is such a cute idea for the picture.
@Whitney, Hawaii is truly the most relaxing place...you literally have to go through withdrawls when you get back to the hustle and bustle of life! Where do you recommend in Kauai?
